Facing fears...

Torren and I had an early supper at Chick-fil-A yesterday. He has always had trouble with costumed characters hence an appearance by the cow mascot would have been disastrous here-to-fore. Torren told me he is working on facing his fears. “You don’t have fears still do you?” I asked. “Oh yeah,” he confessed. “costumes, ghosts, zombies…” he rattled off.

Good old Leia...

Picked up Torren from school last week. Even though his birthday isn’t until September he’s already planning the next. He wants to have a Star Wars-themed party. We discussed various characters in the newest movie – The Force Awakens – and I commented that maybe I could come as General Leia. Torren thought about it. “Yeah, you could,” he agreed. “She IS kind of old.”

 

Naming conventions...

Making our way down an exceptionally difficult slope full of moguls- through a wooded glade. Mommy was falling every couple of seconds and getting frustrated. Torren looks at her and says "Just believe in yourself- that's what I do..." and sped off down the hill.
